For IPv6 I get different country and also for some IPv4s I get the same error too.

How do I update the maxmind DB ?

This repo is not maintained for a long time

You can build the db yourself like described in .github/workflows/build-test-publish.yml
I forked the repo and run the publishing updated db versions here: https://github.com/Doc999tor/fast-geoip, https://www.npmjs.com/package/doc999tor-fast-geoip
