I a sincoole 6.5 inch rugged windows 11 handheld terminal and I am trying to get the firmware file but there isn't a driver installer. I have found the currently in-use .sys and .inf files but I am not sure how to proceed from here. I have contacted sincoole for support since they say that linux is optional but they haven't replied yet. I have tried to open the device to get more info on the device to no avail.

Have you tried extracting the firmware for your device from the .sys file?

https://github.com/onitake/gsl-firmware/blob/master/tools/scanwindrv might work, and I think there's some issues here containing hints on how to find the firmware blob.

I have the SileadTouch.inf and SileadTouch.sys. I am a bit confused on how I extract the firmware as I have never done anything like this before.I have tried using the fw_extractor tool through python but I get an error on a print command. I don't thing I am doing this correctly at all :(

fw_extractor only works on Android drivers.
Try scanwindrv instead, and if it doesn't work, upload SileadTouch.sys somewhere and I'll take a look.
