<td style="font-size: 12px; color: #444444; line-height: 200%;">九０年代就開始接觸網路的人應該都知道網景通訊家族（Netscape Communicator）（註一），這個由網景公司（Netscape Communication） 所開發的瀏覽器，在當時相當於現在的微軟 IE，一樣被大家廣泛使 用，一樣是屬於封閉原始碼的專屬軟體。但是隨著微軟 IE 的興起， 網景通訊家族優勢不在，因此網景公司期望透過策略的轉變重拾市場 佔有率。這個新的策略就是不收取授權金，將網景通訊家族的原始碼 開放出來。</td>
