error while logging in

Still happening. Generates a new nonce each time but FE doesn't load anything new, it just goes back to the "login with metamask". Using Brave v1.52.130

Notably, I connected with Wallet Connect first, then once connected I'm trying to sign with Metamask.

I haven't tested w/ WC yet, but don't think that's the issue.

I believe there is a race condition that happens and the login fails before the cookie is assigned. I have documented this in README_improvements.md and will spend more time around login/jwt/session/UX when I get the chance.
