Ants are known for their highly organised and systematic behaviour, which aligns well with the purpose of the package to evaluate and characterise the department's activities and output. The name reflects the structured and efficient nature of the analysis the package aims to provide.

How about spiderorchid, an iconic Australian flower. It doesn't stand for anything, but it carries the idea of the web (from where we are getting the data), and using orcid.
