Ibkr Web Client compared to IBind #3
Comments
Hey! |
That's totally understandable! Thanks for sharing your reasoning. As a matter of fact, there is an open PR that we're finishing up right now that will provide OAuth support to IBind: Voyz/ibind#34. We should have it merged into the master branch and published within a few weeks. Naturally, I'd understand if you'd want to continue working on your package, although given that we already have a good userbase through both IBeam and IBind, I wondered whether you'd be interested in joining the contributors of IBind and help us develop it? We could actually really use someone who has access to OAuth and could help test it before release. I'm happy to jump on a call and help you explain the differences and how to migrate if you'd be interested. There still are a few endpoints that are waiting to be implemented if you're more interested in actively developing the package to gain a better understanding of IBKR's API. Let me know! |
sure, lets keep in touch - I will be available from 28th of December |
Great! I'll drop you an email after 28th 👍 Happy holidays! |
@nsirons I've sent you an email |
Hey @nsirons! 👋 I'm Voy, I'm the author of https://github.com/Voyz/ibind/ and I just stumbled upon your package.
At a glance I notice that it does pretty much the same thing as IBind, hence I wanted to reach out and ask if you've ever seen it?
If so, whether there were any functionalities that you were missing that made you write your own alternative?
Was it only the OAuth support?
Take care!
