Exposing the objectViews method so it can be called from the outside (and so onecould add views to it) should be easy, no?

Having thought about this, it seems that we should have an IDE preferences object where one can set up these views without having to edit the IDE source code in class Browsing. The preferences would be saved in local storage, so that they persist.
