On hold only because they are rare.

Addressing this issue could mean either,

Support vectors with multiple layers, creating metadata for all layers, or
Explicitly not support multiple layers and inform the user that metadata is only created for the first layer.

Right now we create metadata for the first layer and silently ignore any other layers.
