I swear this has worked before on another machine (KDE plasma, wayland), but i just tried on my laptop (gnome, wayland) and could not get it to work.
Dragging multiple (or a single) folder onto the batch convert window does not work on linux, however does on windows builds in wine.

Thanks for the report. This works for me but I think I'm on X11 at the moment...
I'll look more at it soon but from a quick search it looks like it may have been fixed on the GUI toolkit's side - fltk/fltk#516 Last time I updated predates that so hopefully I will be able to just update and get a fixed build up quick.
I was not able to replicate this on my end but I upgraded the GUI toolkit in the new version 20240101. If you can confirm if that fixes it for you, that would be a big help. If it is still an issue I can test further
