Sticker images come out broken

I added some stickers from telegram and it doesn't show the thumbnail of the stickers and that's annoying because I don't know which sticker I'm choosing.

If you right click and open the image in a new tab you get this.

this is caused by unauthenticated media access being disabled by default now. setting each sticker media entry to unauthenticated in the synapse database fixes the immediate problem, but that's obviously not ideal.

Same thing still going on :( Works fine on the desktop app though just having the issue in web and mobile.
