How do you comment multiple selected lines in HTML? #538

Hi,
I'm really sure this is a dumb issue to be opened but I couldn't really find anything!
I'm just trying to comment out a number of <td>'s inside a <tr>. I know that <C-y /> will comment a single line, but I can't find a way to visually select multiple lines and have them commented.
Can anyone help?
