Option to Reset Visualisations via Personal Settings

Context

Users can choose to view up to 500 rows per report page with the row limit selector. When combined with the flat option, this can potentially display thousands or even hundreds of thousands of rows on one page. This often causes a network timeout or browser crash.

The row limit setting chosen for the report then becomes the default for that report for the user. When the report is viewed again the same crash occurs. Currently the only option is to use SQL command to reset the visualisation for the user.

Problem

SQL commands require direct server access - something that most users don't have - and which requires escalation to IT support in many cases. This results in wasted time for both the user and higher-level support within Matomo Cloud or, if on-premise, within their organisation.

Solution

Provide a 'Reset Visualisations' option in Admin > Personal > Settings
