onTapListener has a delay

There is a delay of around 0.5sec before onTapListener is called after tapping on the map. Is there a way to improve this? It is very visible when used for interacting with layers.

Both platforms. MapboxMaps Flutter version is 2.3.0.

However, now I can see that Google Maps native delay is pretty much the same, so not sure there is anything that can be done here.
