In both testing and unstable with kernel 5.17.3-2 and 5.17.4-1, I’m not getting any keyboard case functionality anymore. Typing doesn’t work and the battery values aren’t exposed.

$ ls /sys/class/power_supply/
axp20x-battery  axp20x-usb

Only charging without being able to control the keyboard input limit or to read its capacity/OCV works out of the box. The userspace driver makes typing work and allows reading the OCV, and it can be run without disabling kb151 (or pinephone-keyboard as I’ve read it’s supposed to be called now). I thought the new kernel is supposed to have the new driver with power management but it looks like it just has nothing on my device. Downgrading to stable with I believe it was 5.17.1 makes everything work as before.

I have this same issue.

However,

  1. I first installed in March and the keyboard case was working on my pinephonepro just fine, before installing updates on the OS this week.

  2. It currently works on the Arch version of this operating system
