Expose C API

Hi,
it would be great to use this library with other languages like rust or go.
to enable that, we’d need a c api. would it be possible for you to add it?

Thanks for the idea, I will look into other language bindings. I am quite sure that, for Python and Rust, c++ can be used directly for bindings. I assume it is possible for golang too, but I’ll check on this!
