I'm not sure what it is that determines the x_min/x_max of a plot, but it would be useful to be able to specify these in applications where the absolute value/magnitude of points matters (rather than just the shape of the data).

The original thinking was that this can always easily be scaled in hindsight. But given the renewed interest in this tool I will probably take the effort to add some quality of life improvements for this tool. This suggestion sounds like a good one to add with that in mind.
