For which widget in particular are you requesting this feature?

At the moment a maximum of four classes feels sufficient to me, but if you can elaborate your usecase I may be able to understand it better.

I want to create a dataset that has 9 classes and thought I could somehow control this through passing some args. but unfortunately no. It's a great widght. And it would be even nicer if the canvas can be adjusted too.

Ah yeah, widget size makes sense. The bar-widget allows for that but this one does not at the moment.

I might introduce the ability to set more/less classes but I am not super sure how high I might want to go. With 9 classes I worry that you cannot really tell the dots apart because the colors with inevitably get very similar.
