Currently coming to mind:

  • Not tied to any framework but integrated with 2 and plain ruby version available with zero awkward dependency.

I like being able to define the entire map of how a given resource should be serialized, and then using the portions of that I actually need/want in a variety of different places. The alternative is, you have to make a new serializer for every different view of your data you want. I don't know how to say this succinctly, but go more in-depth here
