Hi Jörn, is MQTT running on your HomeAssistant? Do you have the eBUSd-Addon installed? MQTT-Explorer (AddOn) is also very useful. I am using MQTT and it works (almost). Use the files from https://github.com/john30/ebusd-configuration. Cheers Sebastian (DH7NN) |

I would like to ask you to help me with my new ebusd installation.
Ebus adapter
I have an eBUS adapter shield C6. The firmware (build 20241221 ebus 24.1) allowed me to set up the WiFi first and then the LAN. Communication should take place via the LAN cable.
WIFI station off
Ethernet:ON with mDNS:On
eBUS: enhanded via TCP
httpd: no TLS, no authorization
MQTT: On with mqtt://user:[email protected]/eas with my user and password data
3.1 and QoS=0
I haven't found any further information about what else I should enter for MQTT. Is that right?
Home Assistant
I run Home Assistant on a mini PC and the Home Assistant OS.
I added the repository https://github.com/LukasGrebe/ha-addons and installed ebusd via the add-on store.
Home Assistant Core 2025.1.2
Operating System 14.1
Home Assistant: 192.168.40.2
ebusd C5 device: 192.168.40.62
EBUS device
Vaillant heating ecoCOMPACT VSV146/4-5 E VRC 700/6
I would like to be able to read and adjust the temperatures and heating curves and the production of hot water.
