Contributor Covenant Code of Conduct

Our Pledge

We pledge to make participation in our community a harassment-free experience for everyone.

Our Standards

Positive behavior includes

  • Demonstrating empathy and kindness
  • Respecting differing opinions, viewpoints, and experiences
  • Giving and accepting constructive feedback gracefully
  • Taking responsibility and apologizing for mistakes, learning from them
  • Focusing on the best interests of the community

Unacceptable behavior includes

  • Sexualized language, imagery, or advances
  • Trolling, insulting, or derogatory comments
  • Harassment, public or private
  • Publishing others' private information without permission
  • Inappropriate conduct in professional settings

Enforcement Responsibilities

Community leaders will enforce our standards and take appropriate action against inappropriate behavior.

Scope

This Code of Conduct applies in all community spaces and when representing the community publicly.

Enforcement

Report instances of abusive behavior to the responsible community leaders. Complaints will be reviewed promptly and fairly. Privacy and security of reporters will be respected.

Enforcement Guidelines

Consequences for violations:

  1. Correction: Private, written warning from community leaders with an explanation of the violation. A public apology may be requested.

  2. Warning: Consequences for continued violations, including a specified period of no interaction with involved parties or community spaces. Violations may result in temporary or permanent bans.

  3. Temporary Ban: Serious violations lead to a temporary ban from community interaction and public communication for a specified period. No contact with involved parties or those enforcing the Code of Conduct is allowed.

  4. Permanent Ban: Pattern of severe violations, harassment, or aggression results in a permanent ban from community interaction.

This Code of Conduct is adapted from the Contributor Covenant, version 2.0. Community Impact Guidelines were inspired by Mozilla's enforcement ladder.
