as the server/pc restarts littlewire is not recognized and this comes up (at least in linux)

[ 3907.008031] hub 2-0:1.0: connect-debounce failed, port 3 disabled

this is a serious problem and has to be fixed before we proceed with any more firmware enhancements

Hi,

Unfortunately, i don't know any exact solution either.

The device tries to enumerate only the first time you plug it.Therefore at the reboot process, if the power still on, device doesn't disconnect from the device and therefore doesn't enumerate again at the next time.

Please try to shut-down the computer completely, plug the littlewire and open the computer. If the problem still occurs, it should be a V-USB related problem, which i'm not expert on. :)

I might be wrong, but those my thoughts.

Hi,

I've just shut-down my computer. Plugged the littlewire and opened it. After boot and login process, littlewire is enumerated completely OK.

I haven't tried the 'Restart' yet.

Computer: Asus 1008p EeePC
OS: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS

Hi ishan,
well, the problem is, that if we use LittleWire concept on servers we
cannot unplug littlewire and doo the full shutdown/startup. The littlewire
needs to stay untouched during reboot.

Is there a firmware/software solution to enumerate littlewire every few
minutes with usb subsystem?
So littlewire would itself shut down and start up by using firmware
functions?

Hi,

I also tried the 'Restart' while device is attached. The result was OK also. It enumerated with no problems. Can you try to recreate the problem with your personal PC / laptop?

I haven't tried and thought your soft reset approach, i'll think about it. If there will be any results, i'll let you know.

Hi hecko,
I am facing exactly same problem (connect-debounce failed after host reset)
Were you able to finally solve it?

BR,
imago
