Instead of fetching the content dynamically the contents could be cached. A workaround would be importing the sections of excerpts regularly (a few times a month would suffice) and then display that content there (maybe like a template but if so the template page would be hidden and readonly).

Currently any excerpts are breaking and don't transclude the content: example – see the "Template:Excerpt" redlinks.
This may or may not be part of #30.
