If I understood correctly, the task_adaptation module is only needed when VTAB is used. However, if someone only wants to use the Meta-dataset, without cloning the task_adaptation module, an error appears.

It would be great if there was a simple way to distinguish the Meta-dataset code from the MD+Vtab code, even when running the code.
