Launch of squadra.nl - a custom theme based on Hinode

I'm excited to announce the launch of squadra.nl, the company I'm associated with professionally. Squadra is a boutique consulting firm for data & analytics services based in the Netherlands. At Squadra, everything revolves around working together as “Una Squadra”. As such, she wanted a website that reflects this spirit and brings together all her services.

The new website is built with Hugo and Hinode as core theme. Hugo is integrated with CloudCannon, a CMS system that allows the marketing team to easily publish content and keep the website up-to-date. For managing and optimizing media assets, the site uses Cloudinary.

One major addition is the integration of Bookshop, a component development workflow for static websites. It enables visual configuration and editing of web page elements. The developed elements include a hero component, testimonial carousel, and about 20 more custom components.

The development of the Squadra website has triggered me to rethink some of the fundamentals used in the Hinode theme. You can expect some changes to find their way in a new major revision of the Hinode theme. Some of the ideas / concepts:

• Support Bookshop components to replace the current section configuration
• Improve the customization of page layouts (such as single pages and list pages)
• Develop a marketplace for additional themes built upon Hinode
