I'm also interested on this, maybe backrest can invoke the rclone command to run the task Or what would be the best way to backup to onedrive currently, using backrest? is even possible? and restic? |

Hello, how about to add rclone repository as a source for backups? i mean, rclone ha the ability to mount a really big number of repository, if we take them as an input to backup this will be really good and it can make this project really viable for enterprise as a solution for all kinds of backups.
I was thinking at this because I am selfhosting a lot of stuff, I use garage to provide s3 compatible buckets but garage has not the ability to sync one bucket of an instance to another bucket of another instance than I can't do point in time backups offsite. I can make garage available in 2 sites but this will eat my network, I want the replication only at some hours. Allthings apart rclone can do that but i really prefear a gui. It will be also good to backup other things and I think that it is not too much difficult since you have already rclone and you have already the repository configuration for it.
You need also to consider that rclone has not a gui anymore, his gui is back 4 years now. You can implement rclone commands to make use of rclone alongside restic in the future.
thank you.
