Directory lookups

intervals support single key lookups via [a, a+1) (e.g., [‘a’, ‘a\x00’) looks up ‘a’) and directory lookups by encoding keys by directory depth

Not sure if I am understanding this correctly, so it is possible to look up a range of keys as if they are directories?
For example, am I able to only get the immediate children of /foo/bar/ by some how specifying the depth in the range_end?
