Make DMs more persistent

What would you like to do?

As a user, I would like to continue using the same DM if one person leaves it and is then re-invited to start a DM and accepts that invitation

Why would you like to do it?

To maintain history and keep timeline not cluttered.

How would you like to achieve it?

For the same room to persist as the canonical place for a DM between two users.

This is best described by the Canonical DMs MSC and is definitely not something to be taken lightly or as a quick fix. As such please plan and prioritise it accordingly.
