Favorites file not found. Loading...

What happened?

I just made a clean install. When I boot the device I get to see "Favorites file not found. Loading..."
I can press buttons and somehow get to the menu but when I open and close an app such as "RG350 test" I get back to the "Favorites not found" screen.
How can I fix it?

@SuperBadger77 , there is actually a way to switch to GMenu2X. Look for "Default Launcher". Also "Sound Mixer" is not opening from the "default launcher", but works fine when launched from GMenu2X.
I'm creating a Digger clone (https://github.com/geniot/digger) and when I close the app it returns normally to the GMenu2X but not to the 'default launcher'...
So for now I'll stick to the GMenu2X. I started to use the Adam Image because I can build the toolchain and everything. I had problems with Ninoh's Rogue firmware. Its buildroot was forked long ago and I couldn't update it.

All my other systems with Adam on work great. The one that doesn't work was when I tried to copy another system. I've probably done something stupid when copying everything across. Will see what @eduardofilo thinks the issue is. Liking the look of the Digger clone - will this run on the RG350M? Can we get it added to the ports list if it isn't already?

On PG2v2 (Adam) volume buttons do not work. Well, kind of. They just turn on and off the volume. I've checked the Sound Mixer - also no control over volume. So I'm switching back to Rogue. As for Digger - I need to finish it first. It's a rewrite, not a port. There is already of port, you can find it here: https://github.com/retrogamehandheld/OpenDingux

Regarding the OP's issue: It is to do with SimpleMenu, I think you need to delete the following file: ".simplemenu/last_state.sav" inside your home folder. And also pressing "Y" will get you back out of favourites.

You can also add a game to favorites by pressing X
then after the next boot the message favorites not found wil not display anymore
