How to Send Us Data
When investigating software issues, we often request that users send test data or other files to us to help us replicate the problem. Previously, we requested that users post data to our FTP site, however, that is no longer an option.
To upload files for a Discussion, users can drag and drop certain types of files with some restrictions into the comment box or users can click on 📎 in the formatting bar above the comment box to browse, select, and add a file from their computer. Please see GitHub’s “Attaching Files” page for information on allowed file types and restrictions on file sizes. We recommend creating a gzipped tar file and attaching it to the Discussion itself.
Another option is to use a Google form to collect information and data. Please note that a Google account is required in order to upload data via this form.
Users can fill out and upload the data using this Google form link:
METplus Support Data Upload
There is a maximum file size of 10 GB and a 10 file limit for uploads. If a user has more than 10 files to upload, please consider creating a gzipped tar file to upload.
If users have any questions or concerns regarding uploading files, please let us know in the applicable METplus GitHub Discussion.
