It looks like you are in a weird state where you are running the run_metplus.py script from 4.1.0 but you are using the default parameters from 4.0.0. OMP_NUM_THREADS should be set in the defaults.conf. This would happen if you have the environment variable METPLUS_PARM_BASE set to the parm directory of the 4.0.0 install. This environment variable was used in the 3.1 tutorial but should not be used in the 4.0.0 tutorial. Unsetting that variable should fix this issue. |

Upon further investigation, the AMI used here is not the version used for the METplus Training Series. This environment was set up by copying a defaults.conf file that was saved from METplus 4.0.0 with a few values changed into the cloned repository. This was creating the state where an old defaults.conf file was being used that is not compatible with METplus 4.1.0. I advised the developer who created this environment to use sed commands to replace values in the defaults.conf instead of copying an old file that may need to be updated over time. |
