Dear participants,

We are delighted to announce that the final results are finally out ! 🎉

The overall winners are:

• team CUHKSZ_ATD (primal task), 1st on all problem benchmarks
• team Nuri (dual task), 1st on item_placement and anonymous, 6th on load_balancing
• team EI-OROAS (configuration task), 1st on all problem benchmarks

The winners from the student leaderboard are:

• teams UNIST-LIM-Lab and MixedInspiringLamePuns (1st and 2nd, primal task)
• teams qqy and KAIST_OSI (1st and 2nd, dual task)
• teams MixedInspiringLamePuns and MOEA (1st and 2nd, configuration task)

Congratulations to all the participants, and of course congratulations to the winners ! We know this competition was extremely challenging, both from the technical and the scientific side, and we're so glad that many of you have decided to pick up the challenge.

We now would like to encourage you to come present a poster during our NeurIPS (virtual) live event (schedule here), which will be a nice opportunity to meet the organizers and the other participants. We also would like to remember you that you have the opportunity to write a short report describing your approach, which will be published in the official proceedings of the competition:

• by the end of the competition, every participant is encouraged to write a short report describing their approach (2-4 pages) and post it on ArXiv. We will perform a quick review of those paper, and then publish the official proceedings of the competition on our website, which will include all participants who wish to appear.
• in addition, each winners (one for each task) will be allocated 2-3 pages in the main competition report to describe their contribution, which will be published in the PMLR volume "NeurIPS 2021 competition".

We hope to meet you soon during our event at NeurIPS. Congratulations again for your participation, and for having joined us in this combinatorial adventure !
