Handling of no IDs in refineGEMs

Could we enhance the function cv_ncbiprotein from utility.polish to add IDs to the GenProducts if no ID exists and a Fasta was provided as input?

Would something similar also be possible for other functions in polish?

Or is that already handled by ModelPolisher/ should be rather added to ModelPolisher?
