Give pipeline authors options for how history is compressed. In the UI this should be presented as a dropdown + additional field under the advanced editor. The node should display the configured mode in small text below the history dropdown.

Modes

summarize to < X tokens

If the prompt is > X tokens, summarize the history but keep the last N messages

truncate < X tokens

If the prompt is > X tokens, truncate the history until it is < X tokens

truncate to last N messages

Always truncate the history to the last N messages
