Python 3.13 added the optional free threading interpreter build. Let's investigate the current status of versioned-hdf5 when it comes to free threading. According to
https://py-free-threading.github.io/tracking/

numpy supports free threading
cython is WIP
h5py ?
ndindex ?

Let's not start any work here yet, let's just track the status on this ticket.
