As @msporny mentioned on the call today, there are some items in the “Criteria” list that should be removed or altered. Specifically:

  • Remove the three "At least one XXX DID method” and instead include: “The category of this DID Method (ephemeral, web, decentralized)”
    • I would like to see “peer” added to that list of categories, but that is a separate topic. Perhaps adding “other” to that list is appropriate.
  • Remove “Diversity of the set of selected DID methods” as it is not relevant to a proposal.
  • Remove the questions about DID Rubric and DID Traits, or reword them such that it is clear what is being asked. “Does the DID Method stand up well to the DID Rubric?”. Or perhaps request links to an evaluation of the DID method against the two documents.
  • Remove “Privacy and Security features”. If they are wanted, include them individually and reword — perhaps to “Highlight the important Privacy features of the DID Method”, and "Highlight the important Security features of the DID Method”. However, those are very open-ended (for good or bad).
