It seems that the max layout is implemented in such a way that only 1 window may be visible at a time. I would like to see an option to make this rule only affect tiled windows, leaving all floating windows permanently visible (like in all other layouts).
The current behavior is limiting e.g. when making frequent use of floating scratchpads in one's workflow, because it is impossible to unhide a scratchpad on top of a tiled window without that window disappearing. Many thanks!
