Changing the lesson page width

Hello Carpentries!

We are considering using the Carpentries Workbench do develop an introduction to software engineering course for quantum physicists.
So far our experience with the Workbench has been very positive.

We would like to slightly alter the lesson format, where we make the main lesson area wider, as it currently uses less than half of the screen. What is the easiest way to do this?
