Description

Currently, the cell layout engine has no support to respect enclosure DRC rules on boolean combinations of layers. This is used for a few special cells in the sky130 PDK.

Steps to Reproduce

lm -c cells build --no-cells sky130_fd_sc_hvl__lsbufhv2lv_1.spi
klayout cells/sky130_fd_sc_hvl__lsbufhv2lv_1.gds

Observe DRC errors

Expected Behavior

Enclosure rules should be respected resulting in a DRC clean cell.

Versions

  • OS: Ubuntu 24.04.1 LTS
  • Loom Version: v0.10.3
