Description

When I disabled the vertical tab scroll bar in Brave flags, it didn't disappear as expected. After repeated cycles of enabling & disabling it and multiple restarts of Brave, the vertical tab scroll bar persisted and remains visible.

Image

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to brave://flags/
  2. Enable #brave-vertical-tab-scroll-bar
  3. Then Disable #brave-vertical-tab-scroll-bar

Actual result

A vertical tab scroll bar is still visible, even though it has been disabled.

The flag is already disabled by default.

You have the scrollbar enabled in brave://settings/appearance, disabled there, and the scrollbar will disappear.

The problem, here, and for some reason, is that besides the bad style in the scrollbar, the flag and the setting are working differently, the setting will show the scrollbar, but the flag will make it so the scrollbar is taken into account for the tabs' width, so it will not allow the scrollbar overlap on the favicons or the close button, or edges.

The flag and the setting have to be fixed for sure, but yeah, scrollbar visibility is only controlled by the setting for now. So you might want to fix the issue's information and expand the issue more so it can be easily understood what the issue is and hopefully it gets fixed soon, since it might affect some people.
