Found while testing #42206
The NTP rewards widget resets the creators visit counter to Zero automatically

Steps to reproduce

  1. Clean profile 1.75.x
  2. Enable rewards 2.5 or rewards 3.0
  3. Open an NTP and observe that This month, you've visited 0 creator supported by Brave Rewards shown on the rewards widget
  4. Open a verified publisher Laurenwags.github.io and wait for sometime (20 or 30 secs)
  5. Open the existing NTP or new NTP
  6. Observe that This month, you've visited 1 creator supported by Brave Rewards shown on the rewards widget
  7. Wait for few mins (1 or 2 mins)
  8. The creator visited count resets to 0

Actual result

The NTP rewards widget resets the creators visit counter to Zero automatically
