I want to raise again the issue discussed in #112 , as we (@melanieganz) believe it should be reconsidered.
When converting dicoms from the clinical practice, subjects and sessions cannot be guessed by the folders name, and anonymizing them at the first step doesn't allow to differentiate sessions within the same subject.
The AcquisitionTime field only distinguishes between different "runs" within a subject with an undefined session, and there's currently no other field to identify them.
To be noticed, the finalize.json, file contains the AcquisitionDateTime.
@bendhouseart Is there a way that this could be solved?

Yes, I think you're already onto the right path with opening #112 back up, in the meantime I can add a "deanonymization" feature to PET2BIDS that will start outputting full dates and times. Once PET2BIDS starts outputting discernible date times in it's nii's we can get to sorting/labeling them in ezBIDS.
I think this is more of a PET2BIDS issue than an ezBIDS, but I'll be making sure that whatever changes I make are simpatico.
