Feature preview: Custom songs folder

With the “Custom songs folder” feature, you will be able to set a folder that contains custom BMS songs. All songs in this folder would then be available for you to play in Bemuse.

Your folder selection is saved locally, so next time you return to Bemuse your custom songs will be there.

How to access the feature preview

1. Go to the Custom Songs Folder Console at this URL.

   https://bemuse.ninja/?mode=playground&playground=custom-folder

2. Select a Custom Songs Folder.

3. Click Scan to scan for new songs.

4. Once scanning is finished, go to https://bemuse.ninja/. Your custom songs will be there.

Limitations and known issues

• Desktop browsers only.

• This feature is only supported in latest versions of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Opera.

• The code currently does not detect song removals. If you removed a song folder from your file system, the song will still appear on Bemuse, but the game will not be able to load the song. Clear the folder selection and re-select the custom songs folder to regenerate the database from scratch.
