I am getting an "Notice: Indirect modification of overloaded element of WP_Hook has no effect in /home/kensin93/staging/app/plugins/wp-notification-center/src/AdminNoticeHandler.php on line 97" error and the plugin now no longer hides notifications

Same on WP 4.9.8.

It looks like this effort has been abandoned by something better? @barrykooij your thoughts?

I have the same issue on WP 5.1 and PHP 7.1.13
