We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Software Engineer to join our growing team at NewAI Vietnam. Our tech stack includes Python and Golang for backend development. As a Backend Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our platform's backend infrastructure and RESTful API, ensuring seamless integration between the AI models developed by our dedicated machine learning team and the web application.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the backend infrastructure and RESTful API using Python and Golang.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers to ensure smooth integration between the backend services and the web application.
• Implement security best practices to protect user data and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR and CCPA).
• Monitor system performance, identify potential bottlenecks, and proactively address issues.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of backend architecture, API design, and best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in backend development, preferably with Python and/or Golang.
• Strong CS fundamentals and good knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Knowledge of database systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data storage best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of security, best practices and data privacy regulations.
• Active involvement in the open-source community or a strong portfolio showcasing relevant projects.
