Booting virtual machines from non-packaged images

After dealing with #12, the next goal would be to have the VMM actually boot a bootloader such as GRUB that then can select a kernel image, DTB (?), and initial RAM disk all off of non-volatile memory or via the network. This would allow for upgrading the virtual machine kernel etc on the without taking the system down.
