Hi everyone,
I own several
Athom Plug Smart V2
devices running ESPHome. I've noticed that ESPHome has a defaultreboot_timeout
of 15 minutes, which is triggered when Home Assistant or the wifi/mqtt connection goes down. According to the documentation, this timeout helps bring the device back online due to a known bug.I recently updated my ESPHome to
2024.10.0
and one of my Athom smart plugs tov2.0.5
. I intend to use this plug for monitoring my server's power consumption. My question is: if wifi or HA goes down (for example, during maintenance), does the plug reboot itself and turn off the relay, based on the default settings of this repository (yaml code v2.0.5)? Additionally, I have set the restore mode to ALWAYS_ON for power failure situations.
Thanks for your help!
