Core locks at 800MHz frequency #168
Comments
There are an unexpected battery drain too with no reason |
Could you please prove this somehow? We have seen similar issue reports
several times, but we've never been able to reproduce. In especial the
battery drain. I ran a test with 6 of 8 cores disabled completely some time
ago. It improved battery life by less then 20%.
|
Is there any way to send you a picture? I have seen that the only way to get lower frequencies than 800MHz is to set the governor to "powersave". |
I wouldn't rely on kernel adiutor. It has shown wrong results on N in the
past, no idea if this has been fixed.
Pictures can be easily added here, just copy and paste.

This issue has been discussed very intensely, see for example #116 We did a lot of test builds with different settings. Outcome:
|
I have seen that setting the governor to "performance", the core goes between each frequency and turns off |
The little core (200MHz-1'2GHz) is always on at 800MHz and it causes a heavy battery drain
