I just discovered that 1.6.0 was released and that it wasn't available on our hosts or on our mirror, so I investigated a little and downloaded repo.aptly.info/dists/squeeze/main/binary-amd64/Packages and it doesn't mention 1.6.0, so there is no package of it in the official repo (that is what apt-get will try fetch with the configuration on https://github.com/aptly-dev/aptly.
When I checked https://www.aptly.info/download/ I could see that /release has been added to the url, and that a modern set of distributions are now supported. That (at least the latter) is a good thing.
I propose that you update the github page so people who find it there can install it.
