Import external load

Hi, is there a way to import an external load with this library? I'm looking to import several 3D fields(csv) as HeatFluxes for a Transient Thermal Analysis.

Hi @felipemg24 What is the nature of the data in the csv file with respect to the FEM? Is there a one-to-one correlation between the FEM nodes and csv data points? Or is it a non-matching cloud of points whose data needs to be mapped onto the FEM?

Is the csv data transient as well? Is there one csv file or multiple?

There are several ways of approaching this depending on the actual data.

Thanks for your response @mikerife. The data I have available is a non-matching point cloud that would need to be mapped, and I have one csv file for each time step.

Hi @felipemg24 one csv file for every time step that will be solved? Or something more like this:

I'm trying to get a handle on how much data we are talking here. And how the analysis will eventually need to be solved.

@mikerife it's one csv file for every time step.
Since I'm using python for the integration I can reformat the input data in any way to make this workflow feasible.

In case anyone comes across this - we are putting together an example of this that should be published on the PyMAPDL documentation site, examples page. Some day...our original model had one file of data so we are extending it to multiple time points & data files.

@germa89 , I'm doing a patch release over the weekend. Examples should be out more often.
