Hello, I admit it, sorry, at first I thought Open-in -vlc is just an exact copy of External-application-button extension which sends the url link to an external tool without the power to detect the m3u8 links of the complex hls mpd dash embedded videos, I know of existence of Open-in-vlc however I did not even install it because I already installed External-application-button extension ...

until the fatal day the web browsers no longer allow us to see and playback the hls video during its download, i.e. we have to wait for the download to end to playback the video which bothers me because the download can last a long time.... and I made a discovery that by copying the m3u8 url given by the extension "Live stream downloader" and putting it in vlc or potplayer, I can playback the video without waiting for the download to end !

happy I inform Mr Chandler about my discovery who recommended me it's better to use Open-in-vlc extension to preview videos in the media player so then, i discover the huge gigantic potential unique in the world of Open-in-vlc! thank you very much 💯 🥇
